As a rule visa can be received on the basis of personal application given to the nearest embassy of Kyrgyzstan-right in the embassy or to fill and deliver the original of the passport together with application. Every foreign visitor is required to have a valid passport and valid entry visa to enter Kyrgyzstan. Visas can be obtained at the Kyrgyz Embassy in the visitor's home country before departure for Kyrgyzstan. Each embassy will provide visa support only with a letter of invitation, sent to the embassy from one of Kyrgyzstan`s registered tourist companies.
In countries, which do not have a Kyrgyz Embassy, Consulate or Diplomatic representative, visas can be obtained in Kazakh or Russian Federation Embassies. An exception is made for visitors with a letter of invitation from a company registered in Kyrgyzstan - these inpiduals may purchase a Kyrgyz visa at the Consulate department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the Bishkek airport upon arrival.
Reliable tourist company can provide assistance by supplying a letter of invitation to the Kyrgyz Embassy of your home country. To issue the letter of invitation which will enable you to obtain a Kyrgyz visa the following information is required:
• Passport data
• Exact dates client will remain in Kyrgyzstan
• Flight number
This information should be provided at least 10 days prior to arrival.NOTE

Note 2: Now citizens of Belgium, Holland and other neighboring countries may obtain a Kyrgyz visa in the Kyrgyz Embassy in Brussels. Tourist visa for the period of one month is issued without the invitation letter. Documents for obtaining a visa and the payment bill may be mailed to the Embassy. Citizens of European countries, where Kyrgyz Missions are available, may apply for a visa to the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in any neighboring country
For visiting Kyrgyzstan we advise to have medical insurance that includes alpinism. For visiting some zones of Kyrgyzstan it's necessary to have documents, confirming the insurance. It's recommended to take all the necessary documents, including guarantee letter about payment of rescuing works.
For visiting Kyrgyzstan visa is enough. But for passage to the border regions with China and six zones at the territory of Kyrgyzstan special permit is required. They are: zones of Inylchek, northern part of Terskey Ala-Too, from Ak-Sai at the east till Juuku at the west, Chatkal valley, and Ak-Sai glacier at Ala-Archa gorge.
